Schedule NowWhat Is Livescan Fingerprinting?
Livescan is an inkless, electronic method of capturing fingerprints digitally. Instead of using traditional ink and paper, a scanner captures high-resolution images of your fingerprints and transmits them electronically to the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and/or the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Livescan fingerprinting is required for a wide range of background checks in California, including employment, professional licensing, volunteer work, and adoption. Results are typically returned to the requesting agency within 24–72 hours.
